Weight Loss Tip for PlanningI have a quick weight loss tip for you today and its about the importance of planning.

There’s a saying that says “failing to plan is planning to fail”. I would say that over the last 5 1/2 years of Lifexcel I have seen a big difference in the people that are willing to put in the time to plan out what they are going to eat versus the people that just do it on the fly.

The ones who plan it out have a much easier time eating healthy and making healthy choices.

Today, what I’m going to recommend is that you sit down over the weekend and you look at your calendar for the upcoming week and your household and you figure out what you are going to eat for the week.

Include things like Thursday we are eating out and Tuesday night Johnny has a soccer game so we will probably be eating on the fly that night.

Once you know what your week looks like, and write it out, then you can get your grocery list together. And again, that same weekend, make a trip to the grocery store and pick up everything you need and that way you have healthy options available.

Here’s a few more weight loss tips.

Sometimes make more than just for the 1 meal. If you make enough for 2 meals, then you can use the left overs for lunch or even another dinner. Left overs definitely save you time!

If you do get takeout another tip I recently shared was if you create a go to list for take out that includes the healthiest options for your most frequented fast food restaurants. You can view that tip here: https://www.lifexcelcarolina.com/weight-loss-tips-for-fast-food/

Another tip I can give you is to check out some home meal kits. They send you everything you need to cook the meals and you do the chopping, baking or sauteing, but it includes everything you need. No more running to the grocery store for 1 or 2 items. These types of meals can be made quickly and can be cost effective as well.

Also check out local restaurants to find those that offer healthy bulk options. In Charlotte a lot of people like Zoeys Kitchen where you can order meals for 4 or 5 people.
You can order grilled chicken kabobs a side salad or any number of healthy options.

So this weekend is your chance to make a healthy eating plan, purchase what you need, and then implement it.

I promise, it will make your life easier, healthier and you will feel good about your choices.
