I grew up extremely active. I always had to be doing something; I lived a fast-paced life. Since I did so much, I also ate a lot. I ate anything and everything I wanted. I loved all types of food. I am and will always be a foodie. Thankfully, my parents knew a little something about nutrition and always made sure to have balanced meals for me.

In college, I started to understand the importance nutrition had not only for my active lifestyle but for every other aspect of my life as well. I wanted to share this realization with the world. I became extremely interested in fueling the body for the day ahead. This is where my passion for sports nutrition arose.

I worked with the sports dietitian teams at the University of Virginia and the University of Georgia. My knowledge and love for performance nutrition continued to grow. I encountered a lot of disordered eating behaviors in this setting as well and feel passionate about helping people through this. I also worked at a health and weight loss clinic as well in order to continue to develop my skills as a dietitian and be well-balanced in my knowledge. My main takeaway in nutrition is that it is so individualized for each person. I take the time to get to know my clients and develop a plan and strategies to help them specifically. I stand firm in my belief that everyone’s body must be fueled for his/her day.
