Ana Llimas, RD, LDN
My interest in nutrition started when I was young. My growing interest in nutrition has led me to realize that food can help improve athletic performance, avoid chronic disease, and even help your mood and energy levels, the way your skin and hair look. I learned that there is a strong relationship between what you eat and your overall health and wellbeing. That’s when I decided to become an RD to help people avoid health problems by choosing foods that will nourish their bodies.
During my 16 years of experience as a dietitian, I have learned that each person has their specific needs, lifestyle, medical problems, and unique goals. In other words, there is no one size fits all. I enjoy empowering my patient to take control of their health.
Working with patients on dialysis for the last 9 years, taught me that a lot of people get to this stage without having any diet education and the role that food choices could have in delaying or avoiding the need for dialysis. Knowing this, I start getting the desire to help before their kidney no longer works on their own. I specialize in helping patients with diabetes and high blood pressure as well as chronic kidney disease.
By building a strong relationship with my clients, I help them find balance with their nutrition and lifestyle. I aim to provide a positive journey, so they feel confident in their choices for a better quality of life.
